Hasib obtained his Ph.D. from Concordia University, Montreal, in 2024. His goal is to develop and democratize AI systems that learn with less data and computation while gaining a deeper understanding of the world. He is focused on addressing challenges in deploying AI tools, driven by their real-world potential across various domains, including autonomous systems, assistive technologies, and healthcare.
   
Niaz Ahmad, Postdoctoral Fellow, 2025-

Niaz received his Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from Hanyang University, South Korea, in 2024. He is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at Toronto Metropolitan University. His research focuses on real-time AI systems, including robotic scene understanding, sensing, and multi-task learning. Specifically, he is interested in human visual analysis encompass 2D/3D human pose estimation, and action recognition.

Tae Hyun received his PhD. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Seoul National University, South Korea, in 2016. He is currently a Research Fellow at Toronto Metropolitan University. He is also an Associate Professor at Hanyang University, Seoul, Korea. His research interests include computer vision, computational imaging, and visual intelligence.
   
Milad Khademi Nori Postdoctoral Fellow, 2024-

Milad received his PhD in Deep Learning from Queen's University in 2014, focusing on Non-IID Deep Learning: Federated Learning and Incremental Learning. He is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at Toronto Metropolitan University. His research is focused on incorporating human brain learning into empowering deep learning models to achieve incremental learning.
   
Xiaojiao Xiao, Postdoctoral Fellow (with Dr. Hu), 2022-

Xiaojiao obtained both her Ph.D. and Master’s degrees in Computer Science from Taiyuan University of Technology, China. She is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at Toronto Metropolitan University. Her research interests include medical image analysis, deep learning, and artificial intelligence.

Amirul obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Toronto Metropolitan University. His primary research interests are Generative AI, multi-modal learning, and human-centric AI, e.g., explainability, interpretability, generalization, fairness and bias.

Dennis obtained his Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Toronto Metropolitan University. He is currently pursuing his PhD degree with a focus on the navigation and control of indoor UAVs. His research interest mainly includes control systems, computer vision, and machine learning.
