Abstract

E-business applications have advanced in recent years yet e-health has not progressed as quickly. There may be a variety of contributing factors that have formed as barriers to e-health advancement but one specific obstacle is readily apparent. This particular impediment is the difficulty of providing adequate security to e-health services. In this paper we discuss three security problems that can be related to e-health services, namely access control and key management, key distribution and lastly secure group sessions. Subsequently we present separate solutions, such as hash chaining, Identity-Based Encryption and Group Diffie-Hellman, to solve each issue
